Spicy Guacamole with Young Living Essential Oils

From as long as I can remember I’ve always hated avocados. Hated. Yes. It’s  strong word but I really did. Little did I know (or remember), that I was actually a sucker for avocados as a toddler. My parents hid that little known fact up till not too long ago. As a child I supposedly loved avocado milk and growing up, I could only remember hating the taste, texture and smell of it. How did that happen?

If that wasn’t weird enough, I started to have some cravings for mashed avos on toast all of a sudden in the middle of last year. I’ve never had mashed avocado on toast and I just had the urge to make it. From buying the avocados to making the toast, I was shaking my head in disbelief.

Fast forward a couple of months, I was slowly introducing more avos like avo lime sauce and now guacamole. Guacamole, which I’ve never been able to enjoy! Imagine that! It’s usually a pretty standard recipe but this is how I like mine made. Tangy, salty and spicy. Of course I had to add Young Living Vitality essential oils for more ooompfh.

Ingredients
1 avocado, ripe
1 cup sweet cherry tomatoes, chopped
1 shallot, sliced
1/2 – 1 jalapeño, sliced
juice of 1/2 a lemon
juice of 1 lime
1 tbsp real maple/blue agave
salt & pepper
pinch of cayenne pepper
1 handful coriander leaves, chopped
5 drops Young Living Lime Vitality
2 drops Young Living Citrus Fresh Vitality

Instructions
1. Mix all ingredients except essential oils in a bowl. If you prefer the avocados to be more mashed, use a fork to mash them up.
2. Once mixed well, add the essential oils. Remember when using essential oils, only use glassware or ceramic ware.
