This past November (2015) I had the privilege to join my mom on her YL Platinum Retreat to the Ecuador farm. Young Living is the only essential company in the world to own their own farms and distilleries in order to produce quality-controlled and therapeutic grade essential oils. From their health spa to their 1,000 acres land of farm to their Young Living Academy, it was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve ever had.
The whole compound, located in the rural Chongo, an hour North of Guayaquil, comprises of 1,000 acres of land complete with the plantation farms, Palo Santo forest, nurseries, goat farm, wormhouse, Gary Young’s house and the distillery. There were farm tours as well as free-to-rent ATVs and 4WDs for you to roam around the farm yourself! The health spa is run by some of the friendliest, dedicated and professional staff always welcoming you with a warm smile to make sure your spa day is as relaxing and beneficial for you. There were even distillery tours guided by Gary Young himself! How amazing is that?! One of the highlights of my trip was definitely the visit to the Young Living Academy where we could meet our sponsor child as they showed us around their classrooms, gave us cute little performances on stage before meeting the dedicated teachers and staff as well as Gary’s ever-so-inspiring welcome speech.
A picture is worth a thousand words and I’ve many to show 😉 It was one of the most unique vacations I’ve had and I can’t wait for my next visit. I won’t get too much into the details so I guess you just have to visit the farm yourself 😉
