Hemp Protein Green Smoothie (with Candida-Friendly Version)

I know how intolerable the veggie taste can be for some people but despite that I still love myself some green smoothies. Sometimes you can mask the taste with bananas or any strong flavoured fruit and that’s still nutritious as well, granted IF you have a well-balanced and healthy diet. On days when I know I will be going out and eating a not-so-healthy meal, I would stick to a candida-friendly smoothie which has so much fiber but less sugar while still getting some of the proteins and the bit of healthy fats I need.

I’m not even going to mention the usual protein powders that are on the market out there. I like to know what I’m putting into my body and that’s exactly why I love hemp seeds or hemp protein powder. Not only are hemp plant-based, they also contain the required amino acids that your body requires from your diet. These branched-chain amino acids are more direct for your metabolism and requires less processing from your liver. And bonus points? They’re non-GMO and most of the time they’re susceptible to organic farming! WIN!

Ingredients
1 banana
1 cup white dragonfruit (or 1 cup watermelon)
2 handful of spinach
1/3 cup of almond milk
2 tbsp hemp protein powder

Candida-Friendly Version
1/2 avocado
1/2 cup berries/starfruit/green apples
2 handful of spinach
1/3 cup of almond milk
1/3 cup of coconut water
2 tbsp hemp protein powder

Process
BLEND! SLURP! ENJOY!
